Troubleshooting login problems

This page is meant to help Swapire members figure out the cause of the common login problems. Here are the common login problems you may experience on Swapire:

  • Invalid login information
  • Incorrect login information
  • Correct login information but account is not active

Before we continue to discuss each of these issues in detail, let’s first define what constitutes login information or credentials. Login information consists of your registration email and password. To access your account, you must provide your valid login credentials. If not, read on to see what error messages you get and how to resolve the matter.

Invalid login information

If your email address does not appear to be valid or your password appears to be invalid, you will be asked to reenter the invalid information. Although our system will alert you exactly what you have entered is invalid, you can also tell if something you entered is not valid. This is how. Before you hit the Login button, make sure your email address is correct. Make sure it is not missing the @ symbol or the domain name.

You will be continuously prompted for an email address and password until you enter valid credentials. Once you enter and submit valid credentials, you will be automatically directed to your account.

Incorrect login information

Like the invalid login information, incorrect login information is also going to stop you from accessing your account. For this type of error, the exact error message is:

Invalid email or password! Please try again by using the back button of your browser window.

As the error instructs, you will need to go back to the login page to submit valid login credentials. Once you enter and submit valid login credentials, you will be able acess your Swapire account.

If you have forgotten your password, please see the password recovery page.

Correct login information but account is not active

You may ask why would not I get access to my account even when I am entering my correct login information? The answer is your account may not be active yet or it was active but now has become inactive (deleted).

Information regarding accounts not yet active

If you have not yet verified your account email address, you won’t be able to see your account. If you have just registered and not yet verified your email address, go to your email account to see an email from Swapire that asks you to verify your account. The Subject of the email should be something like "Email verification from Swapire" and is sent on the same day you register. In fact, the email is sent automatically within seconds of your registration.

If you don’t see the email in your Inbox, you need check the Spam box of your email account. Your email settings may be putting Swapire’s email in the Spam folder. If you are absolutely sure that you don’t have the email from Swapire, try re-registering with the same email address. There are two possible outcomes with this scenario.

Firstly, if you are able to re-register using the email address you used earlier, it means you provided a different email address now than your first attempt. In other words, in your first attempt, you registered with an incorrect email address. In any case, you still need to verify your email address, as described above.

Secondly, you may be alerted that the email address you entered is already on our file. This suggests you have registered with this email address and the email we sent you to verify your account somehow did not reach you. If this is the case, you can either register using a different email address (a quick solution) or contact us to resend you the account verification email (we are committed to serving you satisfactorily but please realize it may take days for us to respond to resolve this issue).

Information on accounts deleted

In the case, we determine that your account is in violation of Swapire’s Term of Service, we reserve the right to immediately suspend your account without any further notice. If your account is terminated, please stop using this site.
