Applying for a new account on Swapire – registering
To register with Swapire, you need to provide us the following information about you:
- First name,
- Last name,
- Country of residence
- Email address
- Password
- A confirmation of your agreement to Swapire Terms of Service and Privacy practices.

Know what you are submitting to register. Make a note of your email address and password before sending. Here is guide on choosing passwords for your Swapire account. You will use your email address and password to access your Swapire account.
Why do we ask for your personal information (such as name, country, and so on)? Have you ever read a classified ad with no contact information or seen a commercial without a product or company name? The answer probably is no. If we don’t ask you to provide your personal information, the information you post on Swapire won’t be distinguishable from other postings from other users. Such a system would just be confusing just like ads without a product name. Luckily, our intent is not to confuse people but to simply the process. In so doing, we have created a system that gives you some private space to manage your account.
Once you submit us this initial information, our system immediately sends you an email on your registration email address for you to confirm your email address and your registration. Confirming your registration is easy and simple:
- Open the email from Swapire (with subject "Email verification from Swapire" [or similar])
- Click on the link that activates your email account.
Once you have confirmed your email address, you will be able to login. If you try to login without verifying your email address first, you will get an error:
"Your account is inactive because we are waiting for you to verify your registration email address."
So avoid this mistake and save yourself sometime. Your account only becomes active after you have verified your account email address. Please complete the verification email in your Inbox for any future reference.
